Pilar bylinsky

Pilar Bylinsky (she/her) is a first-year student at Yale from Brooklyn, NY. Her biracial identity (half-Chinese and half-white) has shaped her interest in exploring the cultural differences between China and America, and what it means to be somewhere in between those cultures. Before coming to Yale, Pilar took a gap year. She went to a horse farm and helped birth puppies and also went to South Korea to study Korean. In her spare time, Pilar enjoys singing with her acapella group New Blue and doing arts & crafts like beading, collaging, and sewing.
